Seminar for Organic Farming at the Agricultural University of Athens

A seminar on “FARMING & EDUCATION: Challenges & Opportunities in National and European space” will take place on Wednesday 8/12/2010 , at the library auditorium of the Agricultural University of Athens.

The workshop aims to provide an opportunity for scientists and experts across Europe, dealing with education in Organic Agriculture, to meet and exchange views and experiences. It aims to provide a reference point for assessing the position of organic farming in the framework of academic education, to highlight the needs arising in different countries and to propose viable solutions that will lead to the adaptation of education and training based on current stakeholders’ needs .

The workshop is organized with the support of the European Commission and the LLP (Lifelong Learning Programme), supported by the Agricultural University of Athens, the National Network for Research and Technology and the European project Leonardo da Vinci Organic.Balkanet (http:// www.organic-balkanet.eu), Organic.Mednet (http://www.organic-mednet.eu) and CerOrganic (http://www.cerorganic.eu).

Speakers will include scientists from the fields of academic education and vocational training throughout Europe and the working language will be English.

Admission is free but requires pre-registration by completing the relevant form (GR)
