Dimitris Sotiropoulos is an agronomist working in the Organic Farming Sector in Greece since 1998, primarily in Certification Organizations, having worked for 3 so far, holding positions as an auditor, a technical officer, a certification officer and a managing director. He has also worked out in the field as a consultant for organic farmers and has been active in vocational training programs and projects in Greece and abroad, all related to Organic Farming.
He was the Greek Board Member at IFOAM EU Group (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements) from 2002 to 2004 and he is still engaged with the Group and the EU Commission (DG AGRI) as a private expert.
He is a lecturer on Organic Farming, the Organic Market and the Organic Production Principles in congresses, workshops and seminars, as well as an article writer for magazines and newspapers.
Olga Gogou is a Chemical Engineer with Msc in Total Quality Management. She has worked in the food industry at Kerry Ingredients, UK as a Process QA Officer and a Site Quality Manager, at ELBISCO, Greece as a Quality Assurance Manager and recently at Filiki Certification S.A.(Inspection & Certification Organization for Organic Products) , Greece as Head of Processing Operation Department. She is an expert in Food technology and legislation. She is a registered Trainer at EFET (Hellenic Food Authority) for Food Hygiene & Safety, and member of the Hellenic Technical Chamber (TEE).
Efthimios Paronis is an animal technologist working for the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens since 2002. He is working as a manager in productive and laboratory animal units. He has been active in Organic Farming since 2000 and has worked for 2 Inspection & Certification Organizations holding positions as an auditor and lead auditor for organic farming (animal production) schemes. He has also been engaged as an animal technologist and consultant at an organic poultry farm, being in charge of nutrition and health programs of the productive units.
He is a certified trainer for vocational training programs by the National Accreditation Centre for Continuing Vocational Training (EKEPIS), related to Organic Production, agronomy, public health and enviromental protection.
Iro Vagena, is an agronomist with degree in Crop Science and M.Sc. in Management of Environment. During the last three years she has worked as a lead auditor for 3rd party audits on quality and integrated management agricultural systems, as an auditor for 3rd party audits on food safety systems and as a consultant for operations which implement quality and food safety systems. From March of 2009 to August of 2010 she held the position of Head of Crop Operations at Filiki Certification S.A. (Inspection & Certification Organization for Organic Products).
In addition, she is registered at OAED LAEK as a trainer, at PrCert as an inspector and a member of the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece.
